Job Description
Operates and controls MONUSCO ground and aviation fuel services in Goma. The volunteer receives and issues fuel, measures stocks, maintains balance and quality records, tests products against international methods, coordinates vendor deliveries and aircraft refuelling, and enforces safety and authorization controls.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Operate fuel pumps and receive or issue ground and aviation fuel
- Measure stocks and compile daily, weekly and monthly fuel balances
- Enforce safety, authorization and standard operating procedures
- Test fuel quality using ASTM, API and other international methods
- Maintain computerized quality-control, invoice and account records
- Coordinate vendor orders, deliveries and petroleum-product distribution
- Refuel authorised aircraft and monitor aviation-fuel stock levels
Role Requirements
- At least three years of experience across two or more of field fuel operations, aviation fuel handling, fuel contract administration or fuel-equipment maintenance
- Experience in petroleum supply-chain operations
- Ability to live and work in difficult field conditions
- English proficiency
Desired Criteria
- Education or training in engineering, fuel or chemistry
- Experience in United Nations peacekeeping or other field operations
- French proficiency
