Responsibilities
- Prepare bilingual legal opinions and advice on the Mission’s mandate and activities
- Advise on privileges, immunities, status agreements and operational legal issues
- Analyze humanitarian, criminal, administrative, personnel and contract law matters
- Draft and review agreements, contracts, submissions and operational modalities
- Support negotiations and settlement of claims and disputes
- Conduct legal research and prepare briefs, studies, reports and correspondence
Requirements
- Advanced degree in law or equivalent, with a first-level degree plus qualifying experience accepted in lieu
- At least three years of professional legal experience including analysis, research and writing
- Experience drafting French-language legal documents
- Fluency in English and French
