Responsibilities
- Harmonize collection and entry of grave-violation data with UNICEF and the CTFMR
- Draft accurate reports for MONUSCO leadership and international child-protection bodies
- Protect the confidentiality, neutrality and security of information and sources
- Verify daily, weekly, monthly, flash and incident reports with field offices
- Conduct field visits to document grave violations against children
- Advise child DDR processes on protection standards and priorities
- Support judicial follow-up involving child victims, witnesses and alleged offenders
- Train mission and civil-society personnel and coordinate child referrals
Requirements
- Knowledge of Monitoring and Reporting Mechanism reporting and strong spreadsheet and database capability
- Experience managing, entering, extracting and analysing data
- Knowledge of human rights and child protection issues
- Practical experience in child-rights or human-rights programming, advocacy and training
- Field experience in armed-conflict settings
- English and French proficiency
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding and data-protection standards
