Job Description

Supports OHCHR’s Sri Lanka accountability project by reviewing and cataloguing evidence, structuring and visualising datasets, maintaining research repositories and information systems, researching accountability frameworks and enforced disappearances, synthesising open-source material and coordinating project meetings.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Review and catalogue information relevant to Sri Lanka accountability work
  • Extract and consolidate evidence into structured datasets and visualisations
  • Maintain documentation repositories and information-management systems
  • Research accountability frameworks, enforced disappearances and international crimes
  • Synthesise open-source evidence and support meetings and project activities

Role Requirements

  • Current or completed qualifying university study under UN internship rules
  • Ability to begin on the date stated in the acceptance letter
  • Fluency in English

Desired Criteria

  • Academic background in law, political science, international relations, social sciences or archival studies is preferred
  • Tamil or Sinhala is advantageous
