Intern in the Environment and Climate Change Unit

This OHCHR internship in Geneva supports the Environment and Climate Change Unit's work on human rights and environmental action. The intern conducts research, drafts reports and briefings, helps organise events and consultations, monitors scientific and policy developments, coordinates information with colleagues and partners, and supports Human Rights Council mandated activities.

• Conduct research on substantive areas of the Environment and Climate Change Unit's work
• Draft reports, publications, newsletters and briefings
• Support events on the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment
• Follow OHCHR engagement in meetings, consultations, briefings, webinars, COPs and Human Rights Council sessions
• Monitor scientific evidence and developments on environmental crises, nuclear legacies and human-rights impacts
• Coordinate and disseminate information to OHCHR colleagues and partners
• Support Human Rights Council mandated activities and regional and country work on the right to a healthy environment

• Enrolment in or completion of a graduate programme in law, international relations, political science, development or a related subject
• Enrolment in or completion of the final academic year of a bachelor's degree in law, international relations, political science, development or a related subject
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Provide proof of eligibility for the internship programme
