Summary of Responsibilities
- Prepare an inception report and detailed workplan
- Conduct a baseline assessment of Ministry of Health structures, policies and legislation
- Review climate-change and health coordination mechanisms
- Develop recommendations for integrating health-risk resilience into standards and guidelines
- Review and draft the Environmental Health Strategy
- Facilitate the national review workshop in Port Vila
- Submit the final assignment report and updated strategy
Role Requirements
- University degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Climate Change, Health Policy, Public Policy, Health Systems, Health Administration or a related field
- At least two years of experience in policy or legislation reviews, institutional capacity assessments and policy-document development
- Fluency in English and Bislama
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Port Vila
- Vanuatu national recruited in the local commuting area
Desired Criteria
- Advanced degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Climate Change, Health Policy, Public Policy, Health Systems, Health Administration or a related field
- Experience reviewing and developing policy documents within government or public-sector institutions
