Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate vaccine management and cold-chain activities for routine immunisation, campaigns and outbreak response
- Improve vaccine availability, forecasting, stock control and timely distribution across supported provinces
- Strengthen cold-chain equipment functionality, preventive maintenance and repair performance
- Expand continuous temperature monitoring and corrective action for temperature excursions
- Improve logistics data quality, reporting timeliness and campaign waste management
- Train and coach provincial immunisation teams and conduct supportive supervision
- Track performance through stock-out, wastage, forecast, delivery and equipment indicators
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in public health, pharmacy, health supply chain management, logistics, immunisation or a relevant field
- Minimum five years of vaccine or cold-chain management experience in public health, immunisation or health emergencies in developing countries
- Experience coordinating and managing field teams in polio eradication or other accelerated vaccine-preventable disease initiatives
- Experience with routine immunisation and vaccination campaigns in developing countries
- Fluency in French
Desired Criteria
- Experience applying an integrated health, nutrition, WASH, social and behaviour change or protection approach
- Experience with nOPV2 campaigns in developing countries
- Experience in a UN system agency or international organisation
- Knowledge of Swahili, Lingala or another local language
Skills to Have
Additional info
- Office-based assignment with travel to health regions and districts in DRC
- Work is supervised by the Immunization Supply Chain Manager
