Fuel Assistant

Operates fuel-distribution and quality-control activities for MONUSCO from Entebbe, maintaining accurate records, stock balances and safe refuelling operations. The assignment supports aviation and ground-fuel availability through testing, vendor coordination, invoice review and reliable data management in line with mission procedures. It helps ensure authorised fuel is issued safely and that quality-assurance concerns are promptly reported.

• Operate fuel pumps and dispensing equipment and receive or issue fuel
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly records of fuel receipts and issues
• Measure and report fuel stock levels using tank dips and meter readings
• Compile fuel balance sheets and monitor aviation-fuel stocks
• Apply safety and fuel-quality-control procedures during refuelling operations
• Test aviation and ground fuels using required international methods
• Coordinate petroleum-oil and lubricant orders, deliveries, invoices and account records
• Maintain quality-control records and prepare periodic assurance reports

• At least three years of experience in at least two areas including fuel-installation operations, fuel handling, fuel contract administration or fuel-equipment maintenance
• Experience in petroleum supply-chain operations
• Ability to follow fuel safety and quality-control procedures

• Certification, diploma or supplemental training in engineering, fuel or chemistry
• Experience in UN peacekeeping or other field operations
