Job Description
UNFPA seeks a Supply Chain AI Specialist in Copenhagen to develop AI-enabled analytics for its Supply Chain Control Tower. The 11-month consultancy will build natural-language data access, risk-detection and prototype tools; integrate AI with SCMU data platforms; support practical use cases for procurement, shipping and inventory; and transfer knowledge to Control Tower users.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Design AI-enabled analytical capabilities for the Supply Chain Control Tower
- Develop natural-language query interfaces and automated analytical insights from Control Tower datasets
- Build risk-identification tools for delays, stock-outs and shipment disruptions
- Integrate AI capabilities with SCMU data systems, data pipelines and analytical platforms
- Develop AI use cases and prototypes for procurement, shipping, inventory and supply planning
- Create guidance, training sessions and documentation to strengthen internal AI readiness
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in data science, artificial intelligence, computer science, information systems, supply-chain analytics or a related field
- Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in artificial intelligence or machine-learning applications, data analytics and data engineering
- Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines in cloud-based data environments
- Proven ability to integrate APIs and manage data across diverse platforms
- Proficiency in Power BI, Python or similar analytical environments and fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience applying AI in operational or supply-chain environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of data governance, responsible AI and information-security principles is desirable
- Demonstrated experience handling and analyzing large-scale operational datasets
- Ability to translate operational needs into technical solutions and communicate with non-technical audiences
