Job Description
Supports IUCN marine and coastal conservation work on species, habitats and ecosystems in the Maldives. The officer will coordinate field activities and ecological surveys, organise ecological evidence, prepare technical inputs and project reports, and work with government, research, civil-society and community partners to turn biodiversity data into practical conservation action in terrestrial and marine environments.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support species and habitat conservation activities

Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a listed conservation or natural-resource field
- At least 5 years of experience in species conservation, ecological surveys or natural-resource management
- Certified scuba diver with dive-safety knowledge
- Strong swimming ability and willingness to conduct marine fieldwork
- Fluency in English and Dhivehi
Desired Criteria
- Experience with government, research, civil-society or community stakeholders
- Experience in donor-funded projects
- Familiarity with ecological, statistical or spatial software
