Job Description
Develops practical guidance and decision tools that help Central American countries turn ecosystem-restoration investment plans into finance-ready portfolios. The consultancy designs project-preparation and monitoring frameworks, tests them with pilot countries, reviews technical project documents, and provides recommendations that strengthen resource mobilisation, implementation, learning and adaptive management of restoration investments.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Identify good practices for ecosystem-restoration project preparation and investment structuring
- Review financing-source requirements and financial instruments for restoration
- Develop guidance and practical tools for bankable restoration projects
- Apply project-pipeline guidance to the three pilot countries
- Develop a monitoring, evaluation and learning framework for investment-plan implementation
- Design data-collection, analysis, reporting and performance-assessment tools
- Review selected project documents and assess their technical quality and applicability
- Prepare consolidated recommendations to strengthen methodologies, tools and project outputs
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, biology, science or a related field
- At least five years of proven experience in climate and sustainable finance, investment planning, natural resource management or related fields
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience with project preparation, investment planning, resource mobilisation and monitoring, evaluation and learning
- Experience developing practical guidance, toolkits, templates and technical review reports for multilateral organisations, governments or international development programmes
- Experience in the United Nations or other international organisations
- Basic knowledge of Spanish
