Job Description

Leads UNOPS infrastructure asset-management projects from initiation to closure, delivering outputs within time, cost, scope, quality, risk and benefit tolerances. The manager coordinates donors, governments and partners, directs project teams, manages monitoring and reporting, and strengthens sustainable, climate-resilient public-infrastructure planning and capacity in beneficiary countries.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop and update project implementation plans
  • Manage outputs, resources, milestones, changes and project risks
  • Maintain project documentation and reporting obligations
  • Monitor project results, financial performance and delivery data
  • Develop stakeholder-engagement and communication plans
  • Coordinate quality reviews and audit follow-up
  • Lead, guide and manage project personnel
  • Share lessons learned and strengthen project-team capacity

Role Requirements

  • Advanced degree with five years, or bachelor's degree with seven years of relevant experience
  • Experience implementing complex multi-country infrastructure asset-management projects
  • Experience in project planning, implementation, control, communication and reporting
  • Experience managing project risks in multi-stakeholder contexts
  • Fluent English

Desired Criteria

  • Globally recognised project-management certification
  • Technical professional certification relevant to the job area
  • Experience in UN or multicultural developing-country contexts
  • Experience conducting infrastructure asset-management assessments in Africa or the Pacific
