Job Description
Leads delivery of FAO technical assistance for Sindh’s Water and Agriculture Transformation Project in Karachi. The coordinator manages planning, budgets, risks, consultants and technical outputs across irrigation, water policy, agriculture and climate resilience, aligns work with government and World Bank partners, and ensures monitoring and reporting keep reforms and investments on track.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of FAO technical assistance under the SWAT Project
- Manage work planning, budgets, monitoring, risks and project coordination
- Provide technical oversight for water, irrigation, policy, agriculture and climate-resilience workstreams
- Coordinate consultants and specialists and ensure delivery against workplans
- Review technical studies, assessments, designs, policies and reports
- Coordinate with government departments, PCMU and the World Bank
- Oversee progress monitoring, results updates and project documentation
- Identify implementation risks and recommend corrective actions
Role Requirements
- University degree in Agriculture Engineering or Water Resources Management
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in water conservation, agriculture productivity and irrigation rehabilitation and modernization
- Working knowledge of English
- Pakistani nationality
Desired Criteria
- Policy and strategy formulation experience
- Proficiency in Sindhi
