Job Description

UNFPA Odisha seeks a local Project Coordinator in Bhubaneswar to support the Mission Shakti women’s self-help-groups programme. The consultant will coordinate partners, implement monitoring tools and field reviews, manage documentation and incentive data, provide support, identify scale-up opportunities, maintain knowledge products and deliver monthly reporting for the state office.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate UNFPA, Mission Shakti, partners, vendors and stakeholders
  • Lead coordination meetings and structured stakeholder follow-up
  • Design and implement project monitoring tools and frameworks
  • Conduct field visits and review partner monitoring reports
  • Compile progress reports, policy notes and case studies
  • Manage incentive-disbursement data and claim validation
  • Identify scalable practices and support expansion planning

Role Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree in management, rural development, public policy, social sciences or a related area
  • At least 3 years of experience in comparable programmes or projects
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Experience using MS Word, Excel and office software

Desired Criteria

  • Government or UN-agency work experience
  • Knowledge of ICPD and UNFPA mandate issues
  • Monitoring, evaluation, documentation and knowledge-management experience
  • Odia-language knowledge

  • Travel to project sites is required, expected three days per month
  • Monthly progress report is due on the last day of each month
