Programme Policy Officer – Humanitarian-Development Integration

Links WFP Mozambique’s emergency food assistance with durable solutions and self-reliance for refugees and displaced communities, supporting the Call to Action, representing WFP in national planning, developing nexus strategies and tools, coordinating partners, sharing operational learning and strengthening donor advocacy.

• Support emergency preparedness while linking assistance to sustainable solutions
• Coordinate WFP contributions to the refugee Call to Action
• Represent WFP in national durable-solutions planning
• Develop nexus strategies and tools connecting food assistance to self-reliance
• Build partnerships with peace actors, NGOs, businesses, UN agencies and researchers
• Share operational guidance and good practices across WFP offices
• Develop advocacy messages supporting donor engagement and funding
• Organise knowledge exchanges and deploy for emergency transition support

• Experience working in emergency conditions arising from natural or human-made disasters
• Experience transitioning humanitarian assistance toward long-term solutions
• Coordination, networking and organisational capacity
• Knowledge of durable-solutions or refugee self-reliance initiatives
• English proficiency
