Job Description

Strengthens WFP’s ability to secure safe, timely and principled humanitarian access in Northern Ethiopia. The role leads access analysis, risk mitigation, stakeholder dialogue and operational coordination, helping food assistance reach crisis-affected communities while ensuring humanitarian principles, informed decisions and stronger access capacity across field offices and partners.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop humanitarian-access strategies and contingency plans
  • Analyse access trends, risks and stakeholder dynamics
  • Support dialogue and negotiations to resolve constraints
  • Coordinate access management with security and programme teams
  • Maintain access databases and prepare analysis for management
  • Train staff and partners on access and negotiation

Role Requirements

  • Advanced degree in relevant field or first-level degree with additional experience
  • At least five years in humanitarian access, conflict analysis or related fields
  • Fluent English
