Programme Management Officer, Human Settlements

Supports UN-Habitat’s Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific in Fukuoka with programme management, partnerships and resource mobilisation in Japan. The officer develops and evaluates projects, engages government, JICA, local authorities, private sector and academia, identifies financing opportunities, supports strategy and due diligence, prepares research and meetings, and strengthens.

• Develop implement and evaluate assigned programmes and projects
• Maintain partnerships in Japan and identify new opportunities
• Develop locally tailored partnership and resource-mobilisation strategies
• Assess ROAP strategy and Japanese policy financing and technology trends
• Support stakeholder engagement and UN-Habitat coordination
• Prepare research written outputs meetings and outreach activities

• Advanced degree in sustainable development business administration management economics or related field
• At least seven years of experience in strategic planning sustainable development policy project or programme management administration or related area
• At least five years of experience for an international organization as a senior advisor or senior team leader
• Experience in resource mobilisation urban development cooperation donor relations or outreach
• Experience providing technical advice in Asia
• English and Japanese are required
