Job Description
Manage UNDP Bangladesh's Climate Finance Network and thematic-bonds projects, providing strategic leadership from planning through reporting. The manager will direct teams, budgets, procurement and risk controls; strengthen sustainable-finance partnerships; advise institutions on climate-finance systems; and mobilise resources that expand resilient, inclusive financing for vulnerable communities.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Manage implementation against the project document, annual work plan and results framework
- Direct project financial and human resources in compliance with UNDP rules and Project Board accountability
- Lead preparation of work plans, budgets, procurement plans and operational plans
- Oversee project quality assurance, safeguards, audits, due diligence and risk management
- Provide technical oversight on climate finance, blended finance and thematic-bond project outputs
- Build partnerships with government, financial institutions, civil society, private-sector and development partners
- Lead evidence-based advocacy, policy support, knowledge products and donor resource mobilisation
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in public administration, development studies, economics, social sciences, law, geography and environment, investment finance, engineering or another relevant discipline, or a bachelor's degree in these fields with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least 5 years with a master's degree or 7 years with a bachelor's degree in development-sector project or programme management, including 3 years in a senior managerial role
- Experience leading complex multi-stakeholder programmes, teams, sizeable budgets and partnerships
- Experience in climate finance, sustainable finance or financial-sector development
- Fluency in English and Bengali
Desired Criteria
- Experience applying structured project management, budget planning and forecasting
- Experience resolving risks and issues in complex or multi-partner programme environments
- Experience with financial regulators, financial institutions, development partners, private-sector actors or capital-market stakeholders
- Experience in climate change, resilient development or governance
- Experience mobilising or diversifying financing from donors, government, private-sector or international financial institutions
- Experience mainstreaming gender equality, disability and social inclusion in programme delivery
