Field Agent

Conducts household surveys for UN-Habitat’s Vida Nova no Morro project in Niterói, supporting sustainable development in informal settlements. The local consultant collects and safeguards socioeconomic data, promotes the programme in target communities, supports field events and knowledge management, and submits monthly activity reports while applying ethical, quality and security standards.

• Conduct household field surveys using defined socioeconomic questionnaires and protocols
• Maintain complete, standardised and accurate records of collected information
• Ensure ethical and accurate data collection in line with established procedures
• Disseminate the programme and contribute to community engagement and awareness
• Support field activities, community-engagement events and institutional knowledge management
• Prepare and submit timely monthly activity reports and other requested updates

• High school diploma or two additional years of relevant technical experience
• At least one year of experience in social mobilisation, social work in favelas and urban communities, or work with community organisations in Brazil
• Fluency in Portuguese
• Good handling of technological tools
• Complete BSAFE security accreditation during the first month of employment
• Applicants must be Brazilian nationals or external candidates holding a permanent visa in Brazil

• Previous experience within the United Nations system
• Knowledge of Kobo data-collection applications
• Experience in inter-institutional environments, project management or monitoring and evaluation
