Job Description

The Programme Associate supports FAO's Office of Strategy, Programme and Budget in Rome by coordinating user support for FPMIS, the Enterprise Risk Management Module and the Internal Controls Reporting tool. The role manages access, delivers training and guidance, tests functionality, develops user materials, analyses system data, maintains intranet content and improves operational processes.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Provide help-desk support and manage access rights for FPMIS, the Enterprise Risk Management Module and the Internal Controls Reporting tool
  • Prepare and deliver training on OSP-managed systems and related processes
  • Participate in testing new functionality for OSP-managed systems
  • Develop user guides and procedural guidance for OSP-managed systems and processes
  • Extract and review system data and draft reports, presentations and graphics
  • Maintain accurate and accessible intranet content and handbook pages
  • Review processes and recommend improvements to systems and operational procedures

Role Requirements

  • Secondary school education
  • Five years of experience in administrative, financial, planning, programming or budgeting activities for regular programme and projects
  • Working knowledge of English at level C
  • Working knowledge of one other FAO working language at level C
  • Italian nationality or an existing valid Italian work visa or permit with residence within commuting distance of Rome

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of FPMIS, PIRES, GRMS or COIN
  • Familiarity with FAO or United Nations field-programme management procedures
  • Knowledge of intranet publishing tools, procedures and guidelines
