Provides administrative and programme support to IFC's South Asia Department in Mumbai, ensuring senior staff can manage correspondence, approvals, schedules and internal processes effectively. The assistant maintains pipeline and project data, prepares documents and events, tracks budgets and deadlines, and coordinates meetings, travel, visa and office logistics.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support senior staff with appointments, approvals, filing, correspondence and queries
  • Update and monitor the Industry Pipeline and project timeline in internal IFC systems
  • Draft and proofread correspondence, reports, figures and presentations to Bank standards
  • Support internal processes on proprietary systems
  • Plan logistics for conferences, workshops and negotiations
  • Track budgets, tasks, timetables and project-related information
  • Coordinate travel, visas, local transportation and in-person or virtual meetings
  • Provide backup support to other administrative and client-support staff

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least five years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Authorisation to work in the duty station for any employer
  • Ability to work independently, manage concurrent tasks and meet critical deadlines with minimum supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

Desired Criteria

  • Business-level fluency in one major Indian language
