Job Description
UNEP's Environment Management Group Secretariat seeks a UN Volunteer Policy Systems Analyst in Nairobi to improve digital tools, information management and data-driven policy support. The role will develop repositories, surveys and visualisations, maintain data quality, support websites and communications, and train colleagues on AI and analytical tools.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Design and manage collection, evaluation, analysis and dissemination of quantitative and qualitative information
- Create visualisations, slide decks, summary reports and policy-support materials
- Maintain data repositories, records and information files for EMG services
- Manage data storage, processing and qualitative policy analysis for reports and results frameworks
- Create and maintain website, social-media and newsletter content
- Implement data-management practices that protect integrity and quality
- Train colleagues on data collection, AI and analytical tools
- Develop tools that automate policy-development reporting and guidance
Role Requirements
- Specialisation in environmental studies, information technology, statistics, computer science or a related field
- At least 3 years of professional experience in environmental policy analysis, content creation, report production, software applications and data management
- Experience using environmental-policy data-analysis tools, platforms and dashboards
- Ability to design templates, forms and surveys for data collection, information management, monitoring and reporting
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least four listed UN tools
- English

- Advanced university degree in a relevant field
