Responsibilities

  • Develop the GeoNode-based protected-area registry and workflows
  • Manage spatial and attribute data in PostgreSQL and PostGIS
  • Integrate land-use, restoration, peatland and biodiversity datasets
  • Build food-security monitoring dashboards and early-warning alerts
  • Prepare maps, metadata, reports and technical documentation
  • Coordinate stakeholders and train government counterparts

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in GIS, geomatics, geography, statistics, data science, environmental science, remote sensing, information systems or a related discipline
  • Five years of relevant geospatial or natural-resource information experience
  • Working English
  • Nationality of Papua New Guinea
