Job Description
This six-month UNEP internship in Nairobi supports the Global Plastics Hub by identifying and integrating plastic-lifecycle datasets, improving visualisations, cleaning content for platform migration, resolving technical issues and analysing user engagement to strengthen outreach and platform use.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Identify plastic-lifecycle datasets and recommend approaches for integration and visualisation in global maps and country dashboards
- Learn the Global Plastics Hub architecture and codebase and clean outdated data and content
- Provide technical assistance for optimisation and migration of the Global Plastics Hub
- Identify and resolve bugs and improve platform functionality through day-to-day hub management
- Monitor user engagement and analyse user data to improve outreach and increase platform use
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field
- Fluency in English
