Dugong and Seagrass Hub Information Architecture and Content Management Consultant

Restructures UNEP’s Dugong and Seagrass Hub into a sustainable, accessible knowledge platform by redesigning its information architecture, improving navigation and taxonomy, migrating project resources and strengthening the underlying WordPress configuration for long-term management.

Department: CMS Dugong MOU Secretariat

• Develop revised website information architecture and a sustainable content taxonomy
• Reorganise menus, page hierarchy, categories, tags and navigation
• Migrate, edit, format and publish existing and new project content
• Implement page templates, plugins, configuration settings and other WordPress improvements
• Resolve technical issues and apply revisions following Secretariat review
• Submit complete electronic deliverables in agreed formats

• At least seven years of experience developing, administering and maintaining WordPress websites
• Experience with WordPress theme customisation, plugin management, user roles, security and performance optimisation
• Experience in back-end website development, troubleshooting, custom functionality, database management and content-management configuration
• Experience with content migration, information architecture, taxonomy design and search optimisation
• Experience managing hosting, software updates, backups and website security
• Experience integrating third-party tools, interactive maps, forms or APIs into WordPress
• Fluency in written and spoken English

• The consultant reports to the IKI Seagrass Ecosystem Services Project Manager at the CMS Office in Abu Dhabi
