Job Description
Coordinates implementation of UNEP’s Methane Alert and Response System, supporting technical teams and external partners to turn satellite-detected methane emissions into timely, actionable responses. The Paris-based consultancy develops support systems, pilots and reporting processes, tracks feedback and response rates, and strengthens notification, mitigation-case and process-standardisation work across MARS.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate MARS technical and engagement workstreams
- Develop and pilot support systems for focal points and operators
- Analyse data and prepare stakeholder reporting
- Issue methane-event notifications and track feedback
- Standardise MARS processes, templates and documentation
Role Requirements
- Master’s degree in law, political science, environmental studies, sustainability, environmental or climate policy, or a related field
- At least four years of experience in environmental, climate or methane policy
- Fluency in oral and written English
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of additional languages is an asset
