Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop a partnership and programme development plan aligned with UNOPS strategies
  • Analyse development trends, risks and opportunities to build a sustainable project pipeline
  • Identify, design, formulate and negotiate new projects and programme amendments
  • Coordinate technical and financial inputs and draft proposals, budgets and agreements
  • Build partnerships with governments, UN agencies, donors, foundations, NGOs and private-sector actors
  • Represent UNOPS in inter-agency, donor and government coordination forums
  • Maintain partnership opportunities and engagement records in corporate systems
  • Strengthen project managers’ partnership capacity and share lessons and best practices

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline with seven years of relevant experience, or master's degree or equivalent with five years
  • Relevant international-development experience executing partnership and programme plans, developing projects and proposals, and establishing institutional partnerships
  • Experience working in multicultural environments or UN system organisations in a developing country
  • At least two years of team-management and supervision experience
  • Fluency in English and French

  • Experience in development or humanitarian contexts
  • Experience in project and programme management
