Overview

The home-based In-Country Facilitator represents the NDC Partnership in Bangui, coordinating government, partners and climate-finance support. The role maintains the implementation plan, mobilizes resources, tracks progress, reports results and organizes dialogue to advance Central African Republic climate commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate NDC Partnership communication and stakeholder meetings
  • Maintain the NDC Implementation Plan and partner information
  • Develop annual workplans and document context changes
  • Identify support gaps and mobilize donor and partner resources
  • Monitor implementation and prepare quarterly updates
  • Support national dialogues, COP preparation and climate events

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in public policy, development, climate change, natural-resource management, environmental management or a relevant field with five years of experience, or bachelor’s degree with seven years
  • At least five years of experience in climate change, project management, stakeholder or donor engagement, or workplan and proposal development
  • Experience with climate governance, policy or Nationally Determined Contributions
  • Knowledge of Central African Republic climate policies and plans
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Central African Republic nationality or valid residence permit
