Builds UN Global Pulse’s funding and partnership pipeline by mapping prospects, developing proposals and donor materials, coordinating engagement across the Finnish and Nordic innovation ecosystem, delivering visibility events and improving information flow across hubs to support responsible innovation at scale.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Map prospective financial and non-financial partners and maintain the new-business pipeline
  • Coordinate outreach and introductory meetings to cultivate newly identified prospects
  • Draft concept notes, project proposals, donor reports and pitch decks
  • Gather and coordinate internal inputs for proposals spanning multiple UN Global Pulse priorities
  • Map strategic events and deliver donor-facing and visibility-building events with budgets and logistics
  • Represent UN Global Pulse at selected external meetings and innovation-ecosystem events
  • Contribute to new-business strategy, annual plans and a collaborative fundraising culture
  • Maintain accurate information flows across hubs on prospects, partnerships and engagement opportunities

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field with two years of experience, or bachelor’s degree with four years
  • Experience in partnerships, donor relations, business development or a similar field
  • Experience planning and delivering high-profile or donor-facing events
  • Experience developing or implementing partnership and donor plans, including budget management
  • Fluency in English

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of donor funding landscapes and emerging trends
  • Experience engaging with innovation ecosystems or philanthropy
  • Experience establishing partnership strategies in a United Nations context
  • Experience cultivating senior private-sector, foundation, government or multilateral donors
  • Experience managing partnership databases and tracking systems
  • Private-sector fundraising experience in a United Nations or humanitarian setting
