Job Description

The Partnerships Manager will deepen UNICEF's collaboration with governments, institutions, foundations, civil society and other DRC stakeholders. The role will lead partnership engagement and resource-mobilization plans, identify opportunities and risks, advise senior management, strengthen external networks, and develop policy influence and advocacy approaches that expand visibility and results.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support senior management to establish annual work plans, priorities, targets and performance measurements
  • Monitor unit progress and ensure results meet schedules and performance standards
  • Lead partnership and resource-mobilization work plans and engagement strategies
  • Identify partnership and resource-mobilization needs and broker agreements with UNICEF colleagues and partners
  • Screen collaborator inquiries and scan the external environment for opportunities and risks
  • Build and maintain knowledge of partners and a database of key contacts
  • Expand relationships with governments, development institutions, foundations, civil society and financial institutions
  • Develop outreach, policy-influence, communications and advocacy initiatives for senior management

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in international relations, political science, communications, international development or another relevant technical field
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in public affairs, programme management, resource mobilization, external relations or relevant areas
  • Fluency in French and English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience engaging civil-society organizations and international financial institutions
  • Experience in policy analysis
  • Country-level experience in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts
