Job Description
The UN Resident Coordinator Office in Cairo seeks a Partnerships Officer to advise the Resident Coordinator and Country Team on strategic partnerships for Sustainable Development Goal achievement. The NOC officer supports partnership strategy, resource mobilization, pooled-fund management and SDG financing, while coordinating with government, civil society, development partners and the private.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support development and implementation of the UN Partnership Strategy
- Coordinate the Country Team’s partnership working group and Development Partners Group secretariat
- Liaise with UN entities and external stakeholders on partnership opportunities
- Support locally tailored resource-mobilization strategies and pooled-fund management
- Analyse funding streams and support preparation of the Cooperation Framework Funding Framework
- Advise on financing-for-development partnership opportunities
- Prepare briefing papers and communications on partnership issues
- Maintain knowledge on donors, SDG partnerships and resource mobilization
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in business or public administration, sustainable development, social sciences, education or a related area
- Five years of experience in strategic partnerships, project or programme management, or resource mobilization for development cooperation
- Experience developing strategic partnerships across government, development partners, private sector and civil society
- Experience designing and implementing partnerships
- Experience developing resource-mobilization strategies
- Experience preparing project or programme proposals and coordinating Joint Programmes
- English and Arabic are required
- Egyptian nationality
Desired Criteria
- Data analytics, business analytics or data science programmes
- Experience with inclusion strategies for gender equality, youth participation and disability inclusion
- UN interagency coordination experience
- Knowledge management for development cooperation and SDG implementation
- Applied partnerships in food systems, digital transformation, jobs and social protection, energy, climate action or public-private partnerships
