Job Description

The UN Resident Coordinator Office in Panama City seeks a Partnerships Officer to strengthen partnerships for Sustainable Development Goal achievement. The role advises the Resident Coordinator, develops partnership and resource-mobilisation strategies, manages pooled-fund activities, builds engagement with government, business and civil society, and advances financing and development cooperation.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the UN Partnership Strategy
  • Coordinate country-team partnerships with government, civil society and the private sector
  • Develop resource-mobilisation strategies for Cooperation Framework priorities
  • Support pooled funds and joint programme financing
  • Promote partnerships for Sustainable Development Goal financing and knowledge management

Role Requirements

  • Advanced degree in business or public administration, sustainable development, social sciences, education or related area
  • At least 5 years of experience in strategic partnerships, project and programme management or resource mobilization
  • Experience developing partnerships across government, private sector, international financial institutions, academia and civil society
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Nationals of Panama only
