Job Description
The UN Resident Coordinator Office in Manama seeks a national Partnerships Officer to advance UN Country Team partnerships for the Sustainable Development Goals. The officer will develop partnership and resource-mobilisation strategies, coordinate donors and external stakeholders, support pooled funds and joint programmes, advise on SDG financing, and strengthen knowledge management and reporting.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop and implement partnership strategies aligned with the Cooperation Framework
- Coordinate UN entities and external stakeholders around local partnership opportunities
- Assess partnership risks, opportunities and due-diligence requirements
- Develop resource-mobilisation strategies and analyse funding streams
- Support pooled funds, funding frameworks and joint programme design
- Advise on SDG financing and prepare partnership briefing materials
- Research partnership practice and maintain knowledge on potential donors
- Analyse trends and present data through graphs, charts, tables and reports
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in business or public administration, sustainable development, social sciences, education or a related area
- At least five years of progressively responsible experience in partnerships, project or programme management, resource mobilisation or development cooperation
- Experience developing strategic partnerships across government, private sector and civil society organisations
- Experience designing and implementing partnerships
- Experience preparing project or programme proposals
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Bahraini nationality
Desired Criteria
- Completion of degree or non-degree programmes in data analytics, business analytics or data science
- Experience of inclusion strategies promoting gender equality, youth participation and inclusion of persons with disability
- Experience in UN interagency coordination and knowledge of UNINFO
- Two or more years of data analytics experience
- Experience promoting knowledge management and financing for the SDGs
- Experience in food systems, digital transformation, jobs and social protection, energy, climate action or public-private partnerships
