Job Description
Strengthens UNICEF’s humanitarian resource mobilisation across regional, country and headquarters teams. The remote consultant develops strategy and action plans, builds public and private donor partnerships, guides fundraising and contribution-management systems, and supports humanitarian financing for preparedness and emergency responses, including donor-facing materials and investment cases.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop a resource-mobilisation strategy, vision and action plan for preparedness and humanitarian response
- Strengthen donor engagement and public and private partnership management
- Provide technical guidance on fundraising strategies and implementation frameworks
- Advise regional and country teams on humanitarian-financing policies and strategies
- Establish a contribution-management system for humanitarian programme implementation
- Coordinate UNICEF engagement with public-sector donors, National Committees and private-sector partners
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in international relations, political science, public policy, public health, social sciences, communications, development studies, humanitarian affairs, business administration or a related field
- Minimum five years of progressively responsible professional experience in resource mobilisation, public partnerships, donor relations, humanitarian financing, emergency response or related areas
- French and English language proficiency
Desired Criteria
- Experience with UNICEF or another UN agency in humanitarian resource mobilisation, public partnerships or emergency financing
- Experience supporting resource mobilisation in West and Central Africa
- Familiarity with Humanitarian Action for Children appeals, pooled funds, donor briefings, funding pipelines, donor visibility and partner reporting
