Job Description
Supports the UNMAS Syria Response Programme's operational coordination for humanitarian mine action. The assistant helps plan team deployments and explosive-ordnance assessments, maintains IMSMA data and incident records, liaises with authorities and communities, monitors missions, and produces updates that identify operational successes and challenges for the Head of Operations.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate team deployments and related operational activities under established plans and procedures
- Draft plans, reports and documentation for explosive-ordnance assessment tasks
- Organize operational meetings and liaise with local authorities when required
- Record explosive ordnance and hazardous-area information in standard IMSMA forms
- Complete and record IMSMA accident and victim reports with affected communities
- Monitor missions and maintain operational documentation with the coordination team
- Compile operational information and prepare daily and weekly updates on successes and challenges
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with one year of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with five years of relevant experience
- Relevant experience in programming, monitoring, operations or planning
- EOD Level 2 certification meeting IMAS standards, with proof of completion submitted with the application
- Fluent English
- Fluent Arabic
