Job Description

Coordinates Ebola readiness, preparedness and anticipatory action for IFRC and National Societies in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and cluster countries. The officer supports contingency planning, early warning, training, community engagement and operational learning. The role strengthens preparedness, surveillance, infection prevention and accountable, community-centred emergency response.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Ebola preparedness and anticipatory action

Role Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant field
  • At least three years of emergency preparedness experience
  • Experience supporting preparedness and response operations
  • Good written and spoken English

Desired Criteria

  • Ebola-preparedness or response experience
  • Cross-border health-preparedness experience
  • Knowledge of IFRC PER and anticipatory-action frameworks
