Job Description
Supports UNEP’s NBSAP and seventh National Report project in Serbia by coordinating project delivery, reporting. The national consultant develops work plans and technical documentation, monitors activities, risks, finances and results, supports consultants and implementing partners, and produces policy briefs, progress reports and communication materials for environmental objectives.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice and support project activities in Serbia
- Prepare detailed work plans and support delivery within cost and time limits
- Coordinate workshops, studies, publications, subcontracts and administrative support
- Develop scopes of work, terms of reference and recruitment documentation
- Supervise consultants and subcontractors and review their deliverables
- Capture, analyse and report project information and data
- Monitor implementation, risks, expenditures and project outputs
- Prepare technical, financial, progress and donor reports
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in environmental sciences, engineering, management, international relations, economics or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with two additional years of relevant experience
- Minimum two years of relevant professional experience in a similar position, preferably in an environmental context
- Experience supporting project or process implementation involving communication, coordination and facilitation
- Understanding of Serbia’s environment sector, policies, development challenges and socio-economic context
- Fluency in English and Serbian
Desired Criteria
- Experience in international, national, regional or local partnership building
- Experience in the UN system or other international organisations
- Experience implementing capacity-building projects
