Job Description

Delivers a technical study and action plan on access and benefit-sharing for genetic resources, traditional knowledge and digital sequence information. The home-based consultant reviews literature and measures, analyses community inputs and case studies, identifies trends and gaps, drafts study products, facilitates peer review, and prepares final recommendations for Convention implementation.

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in environmental science, biological sciences, law, international relations or related field
  • At least ten years of experience related to biodiversity, genetic resources, traditional knowledge or access and benefit-sharing
  • Experience working with indigenous peoples and local communities
