Job Description
Supports UNICEF’s qualitative midline research on maternal and child cash transfers in Sudan. The consultant will help prepare field teams and assure the quality of translated interview and focus-group transcripts, enabling credible analysis of programme effects on health, nutrition, household food security, caregiving and resilience across programme participants.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Participate in induction by the QuIP researcher and Research Specialist
- Review study protocols, instruments and other key study documents
- Support facilitation of fieldwork-team training with the data-collection firm
- Review 140 translated transcripts against the corresponding audio recordings
- Assess transcript quality and provide accurate improvement feedback to the research team
Role Requirements
- Master’s degree in sociology, anthropology, public or social policy, public health or a related social-science field
- At least 2 years of professional experience supporting research activities in Sudan
- Experience supporting quantitative or qualitative data collection operations in Sudan on at least two studies or projects
- Current residence in Sudan
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic

- Experience supporting qualitative research activities
- Relevant country-level experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts
