Job Description

Contributes to UNU Macau research on neuroscience, learning and artificial intelligence in higher education, including a forthcoming Springer publication and related policy products. The remote intern reviews literature, analyses evidence, develops policy recommendations and drafts research communications that connect learning science with educational policy and practice.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature reviews on neuroscience, learning, education and artificial intelligence in higher education
  • Support research and analysis for the Springer book on artificial intelligence and higher education
  • Explore how neuroscience and learning science can inform educational policy and practice
  • Contribute to policy outputs and recommendations using neuroscience-informed approaches
  • Draft blogs, research papers, journal articles and other knowledge products
  • Prepare, organize and analyse research materials and evidence

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree or above in neuroscience, education, learning sciences, psychology, AI, social sciences or a related field
  • Strong research, analytical and academic-writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct literature reviews and synthesize academic research
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment

Desired Criteria

  • Working knowledge of another UN language
  • Strong interest in the intersection of neuroscience, learning, artificial intelligence and higher education
