Summary of Responsibilities

  • Manage and route official correspondence to the Rector
  • Coordinate the Rector’s schedule and priorities
  • Manage travel, visas, logistics and expense-report processing
  • Support external relations and high-level visit protocol
  • Support Office of the Rector human-resources matters

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in public administration, management, social sciences or related areas, or Bachelor’s degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
  • Bachelor’s degree holders require at least two years of progressively responsible international administrative-process experience
  • Fluency in English and Japanese
  • Experience with UN high-level correspondence protocols and systems

Desired Criteria

  • Prior executive-office experience is an advantage
  • Familiarity with the UN system is an asset
  • Knowledge of another UN official language is an asset
