Job Description
Manages protocol, diplomatic liaison and host-country relations for IOM offices in Cairo, enabling staff accreditation, residency, visas, privileges and official services. The officer coordinates with Egyptian authorities, the UN Host Country Unit and internal teams, maintains protocol records and guidance, and resolves sensitive administrative matters that support the effective operation of country and regional offices.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate protocol requests with Egyptian authorities and the UN Host Country Unit
- Resolve sensitive protocol matters affecting IOM staff
- Process staff accreditation, residency, visa and re-entry documentation
- Manage tax reimbursement requests and duty-free or VAT exemption information
- Maintain records on privileges, immunities, vehicles and official documents
- Issue and renew UN laissez-passer documents for country and regional office staff
Role Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Law, International Relations or related field, or university degree with two years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of governmental or international-organisation protocol
- Fluency in English and Arabic
