Job Description

Provides financial, administrative and logistics support to FAO Indonesia's MERANTI national-forest-inventory project. The assistant manages budget planning and expenditure tracking, prepares financial reports and project records, organizes events and procurement documentation, and maintains electronic systems, inventories and logistical arrangements for timely delivery.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support budget planning, preparation, revision and execution against approved work plans
  • Monitor project expenditures and financial activities for compliance with budget lines and procedures
  • Prepare financial information and reports for Project Management Unit consolidation
  • Organize administrative documentation for workshops, trainings, meetings and project events
  • Support procurement requests, quotations and relevant procurement documentation
  • Maintain project inventories and records of receipt, storage, distribution and use

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, accounting, business management, development administration or another relevant field
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in programmatic or operational support
  • Working knowledge of English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • National of Indonesia

Desired Criteria

  • Experience supporting Government and FAO or UN development projects dealing with environmental issues is highly desirable
  • Full-time availability for project management support duties is essential
