Job Description

Supports FAO’s financial oversight by reviewing financial information and controls, analysing investment and finance data, and improving work methods. The role helps the Finance Division maintain accurate accounts, support sound decisions and deliver services that meet audit and policy requirements.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Collect and review financial information and internal controls for accuracy
  • Analyse financial and investment data to support decisions
  • Support financial oversight, reporting and service delivery
  • Develop improved financial work methods and procedures
  • Contribute to special projects and multidisciplinary work teams
  • Maintain records and provide technical analysis for assigned projects

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in finance, business or a related field, or a first degree with a professional risk-management or investment qualification
  • One year of relevant experience in accounting, finance, investments or a related field
  • Working knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of another FAO official language
  • Age 32 or younger on 31 December of the application year

Desired Criteria

  • Experience across more than one location or work area, particularly in field positions
  • Experience in finance, accounting or investments
