Movement Operations Associate (Field Support)

Supports movement operations at a transit centre by assisting migrants through arrival, stay and departure arrangements while safeguarding their safety, comfort and dignity. The associate coordinates meals, travel preparations and transport, verifies identity and documentation, maintains operational data and records, guides junior operations staff, and works with service providers and partners to resolve issues promptly.

• Assist beneficiaries during arrival, stay and departure at transit centres and third-party facilities
• Coordinate meals, snacks and water with service providers for people in transit
• Support pre-departure formalities including travel loans, luggage, prohibited items and briefing arrangements
• Coordinate transport and ensure readiness, identity verification, baggage handling and escort arrangements
• Maintain operational data, records and confidential paperwork in relevant systems
• Guide Operations Clerks and Assistants in field-support activities
• Report issues and non-compliance with standards to supervisors

• High school diploma with five years of work experience, or bachelor's degree in Social Science, International Relations, Regional Studies or a related field with three years of relevant experience
• Fluency in French

• Movement-operations, transport-related or management experience
• Experience in resettlement programmes with movement-operations components
• Experience guiding junior staff
• Experience communicating with beneficiaries
• Working knowledge of English

• Transit-centre support may involve overnight, weekend and shifts of up to 12 hours
• Appointment is subject to funding confirmation and required clearances
• The selection process may support appointments to similar positions for up to 24 months
