Intern

Support ESCWA's work on population, ageing and migration in the Arab region through research, analysis and data gathering. The hybrid internship contributes to reports, policy briefs, evidence-based recommendations, technical assistance, workshops and coordination with government representatives, experts and development partners, while helping maintain migration-law information and related documentation in Beirut.

• Research migration laws and policies in Arab countries
• Analyse population dynamics, ageing and migration trends
• Prepare reports and policy briefs on demographic and socioeconomic issues
• Gather and analyse data on population growth, fertility, ageing and migration
• Support capacity-building workshops and high-level meetings
• Coordinate with government representatives, experts and development partners

• Be enrolled in a graduate programme, in the final year of a bachelor's degree, or have graduated with one of those degrees
• Be computer literate in standard software applications
• Demonstrate interest in the work of the United Nations
• Demonstrate ability to interact successfully with people from different cultural backgrounds
