Job Description
Support ESCWA's work on population, ageing and migration in the Arab region through research, analysis and data gathering. The hybrid internship contributes to reports, policy briefs, evidence-based recommendations, technical assistance, workshops and coordination with government representatives, experts and development partners, while helping maintain migration-law information and related documentation in Beirut.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Research migration laws and policies in Arab countries
- Analyse population dynamics, ageing and migration trends
- Prepare reports and policy briefs on demographic and socioeconomic issues
- Gather and analyse data on population growth, fertility, ageing and migration
- Support capacity-building workshops and high-level meetings
- Coordinate with government representatives, experts and development partners
Role Requirements
- Be enrolled in a graduate programme, in the final year of a bachelor's degree, or have graduated with one of those degrees
- Be computer literate in standard software applications
- Demonstrate interest in the work of the United Nations
- Demonstrate ability to interact successfully with people from different cultural backgrounds
