Job Description
This consultancy improves the quality and usefulness of solar photovoltaic data for climate policy and socio-economic resilience across ESCWA member States. The analyst will review detected PV-system datasets, integrate socio-economic GIS layers and produce maps, dashboards, statistical analyses and a technical report that documents methods, findings, limitations and future improvements.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Review solar PV datasets for Djibouti, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen
- Identify inconsistencies, data gaps, duplicates and uncertainty in geospatial data
- Assess data quality, completeness, spatial accuracy, attributes and metadata
- Integrate socio-economic GIS layers with solar PV datasets
- Produce maps, dashboards, statistical summaries and spatial analyses
- Prepare a technical report and presentation on methods, findings and recommendations
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, GIS or a related field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of relevant experience
- At least five years of experience in energy or renewable-energy data analytics
- Professional experience working with energy datasets
- Fluency in English
