Intern – International Investment Agreements Section

UNCTAD offers a three-month internship supporting research on investment agreements and investor–State disputes, treaty-data mapping, intergovernmental meetings, technical assistance, capacity-building materials, publication editing and updates to investment-policy digital channels.

Department: International Investment Agreements Section

• Collect and analyse data on investment agreements and investor–State dispute cases
• Research investment-policy trends for UNCTAD reports and publications
• Map treaty provisions using the Investment Policy Framework for Sustainable Development
• Support intergovernmental conferences, expert meetings and senior presentations
• Prepare research and materials for technical assistance and capacity-building activities
• Proofread publications and update programme reporting inputs
• Update the Investment Policy Hub and support webinars and social-media content

• Current enrolment in or completion of a graduate programme, or enrolment in or completion of the final academic year of a first university degree
• Field of study aligned with international investment agreements or the internship work
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Access to a computer with current Office 365 applications and basic information-security safeguards for remote work

• The full-time internship is unpaid and expected to run from 10 August to 10 November 2026
• The internship may be completed in person in Geneva or remotely
• Interns bear their own travel, visa, accommodation, insurance and living costs
