Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and monitor implementation of assigned cooperation projects
- Coordinate substantive outputs across UNCTAD divisions and other UN bodies
- Align divisional work with the needs of least developed and vulnerable countries
- Assure the quality, objectivity and mandate compliance of programme outputs
- Advise the Deputy Secretary-General on proposals, priorities and resource allocation
- Manage budgets, performance reporting, staffing and other programme administration
- Lead substantive preparation and organisation of international meetings and seminars
- Represent programme interests in discussions with governments and other institutions
Requirements
- Advanced degree in business or public administration, finance, accounting, law, social sciences or a related field, or a first degree with two additional years of experience
- At least fifteen years of progressively responsible programme-coordination and development experience at national and international levels
- Experience in intergovernmental forums dealing with trade and development or related issues
- English at UN Level III
