UNFPA country representative leading the Cameroon programme on population and development, sexual and reproductive health and rights, maternal health, gender and youth, while directing staff and resources, mobilising partnerships and representing the agency across development and humanitarian settings.

Department: Cameroon Country Office

• Set strategic priorities for the country programme and office operations
• Lead policy dialogue on population, development and reproductive health and rights
• Build alliances with government, civil society, donors, academia and the private sector
• Direct staff performance, learning, recruitment and organisational accountability
• Drive resource mobilisation, donor relations and efficient use of programme funds
• Represent UNFPA in the UN Country Team and humanitarian coordination structures
• Oversee results-based management, financial controls and audit compliance

• Postgraduate degree in public health, medicine, sociology, demography, gender, international relations, development, economics, public administration, management or a related field
• At least fifteen years of progressively responsible public-administration and international-development experience
• At least ten years of international experience in population and development, sexual and reproductive health or humanitarian work
• Proven ability to lead teams to high-quality results
• National and international advocacy and policy-dialogue experience
• Essential field experience
• Fluency in English and French
